No ice. No skating. Ball hockey is similar to ice hockey, but but players wear tennis shoes and play on a hard surface using a ball instead of a puck. It is a super-fun, fast-paced, team-oriented sport that emphasizes strategy, speed, and agility. Your student will have a blast!
No experience required! In fact, almost all the kids that start playing ball hockey with us have never played before. Through exciting games & challenges and friendly scrimmages, players develop confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills. Our experienced coaches will guide them every step of the way, starting with basic hockey fundamentals like stickhandling, passing, shooting, and positioning. We will make sure they learn the game of hockey the right way, in a supportive and fun environment.
Every student goes home with our McVander Hockey t-shirt and wristband.

Before-School and After-School
Street Hockey Enrichment Programs
We offer before-school and after-school street hockey enrichment programs for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Our classes run year-round, with our winter session moving indoors. And session lengths are customizable, running from 6-10 weeks to fit your schedule.
Class length can range from 60/75/90 minutes. We are also able to offer OVERTIME hockey for those kids that want to play longer.
Our school programs aim to provide an affordable hockey experience for all students.
All participants go home with a street hockey stick and ball so they can practice at home and play with their friends.
Every kiddo also receives our hockey t-shirt & wristband on the first day, and upon completion of our program, they take home a Certificate of Awesomeness, and a hockey-themed SWAG bag.

We offer a wide range of Parks & Recreation programs for kids and adults.
Year-round programming.
If your kiddos have a break from school, we offer LEAP Day camps and our summer camps to keep them active.
Explore our Parent-and-Me classes or our PeeWee Street Hockey program for ages 3-6.
Girl-Power! street hockey programs. For girls. Coached by girls.
Think you’re too old to start playing hockey? Think again. We offer an adult Learn-to-Play program that will get you moving.

McVander Hockey's after school program has been an awesome experience for our child! Nate and Brandon are excellent coaches, making the experience both engaging and fun, all the while keeping the kids safe.
