Based in Kirkland, Washington, McVander Hockey is a team of 3 passionate hockey players who love to teach their favorite game to the next generation. Our focus is on teaching your child new skills in a friendly environment that promotes collaboration, team unity, and above all else - fun!

We providE a fun and safe space where participants can learn about and explore the WONDERFUL game OF HOCKEY.

Teamwork, respect, integrity, and positivity are the core principals of our program.

We currently offer after-school enrichment programs at elementary schools on the Eastside for grades K-5. No ice and no skating required. All levels are welcome!

Our sessions can run anywhere from 6-10 weeks. Our classes range in length from 60-75-90 minutes. Each class will have between 12-18 participants, and be staffed with a minimum of 3 coaches.

Although we prefer to be outside, we offer both indoor and outdoor programs. This allows us to run programs for Fall, Winter, and Spring enrichment sessions.

Our school programs are aimed to provide affordable cost for all participants. Students receive a t-shirt and hockey fun bag at the end of each program.

LOTS OF AWESOME PROGRAMS!

Youth Camps

We offer half-day LEAP DAY camps, half-day SPRING BREAK camps, and half-day SUMMER CAMPS for ages 6-11. Although we prefer to be outside, we offer both indoor and outdoor programs. Our camps generally run from 9am-12pm or from 1pm-4pm.

Parks & Rec Classes

We have a great, low-cost, INTRO-TO-HOCKEY program for City Parks & Recreation Departments. Our program is designed to introduce participants ages 3-6 to the sport. This program runs 1-day per week for 6 weeks. Each class is 1 hour: hockey skills are taught through exciting games for the first 30 minutes, then the remaining time is spent playing a game. As with other similar city programs, coaching is done by parent volunteers. McVander Hockey provides all the necessary information to get started, and will be there every day to run the events.
